My work in mixed media began during a painting course for my MA in art education. I wanted to use my art to visually explore my experiences living in Japan, so I experimented with painting in gouache over layers of beautiful Japanese washi and chiyogami papers. After returning to Mongolia I began looking for ways that I could adapt these techniques to express my experiences of other places.
